I Will Come Back (Kakashi x Reader)

Hello fellows! So this was intended to be just before Kakashi left to fight in the Fourth Shinobi War. Hope you enjoy it! If you desire to request anything just leave it in the comments. I own nothing of Naruto or you. 

The sun rose up in the horizon bringing with itself rays of light and warmth. It brighten the horizon announcing that a new day was taking place. The rays of sunlight swept trough peepholes, and went directly into the shinobis’ eyes with the purpose of waking them up.  As soon as Y/N felt a ray of sunlight on her skin did her eyes open slowly. Warmth spread across her whole body as she was bathed in sunlight. 

    Taking in her sight, she noticed the man sleeping in front of him. He was snoring softly as his chest fell and rose. Strands of platinum hair falling to the sides of his head as his chest fell. It was one of those rare moments he was not wearing a mask or any other object to hid the lower part of his face. 

    Well, in reality, it was not rare for her to see him without the mask. He usually kept it off while they were together, of course, only if they were in their little apartment. The only times he will keep it on, while they were in the apartment, was when he was reading those books Jiraya-sama had written. When she had asked him why he did it, she had the received the answer that he just didn’t felt like taking it off. But the reality, or what Y/N believed, was that he used the mask to hid the blood that poured out of his nose while reading those books. 

    The man in front of her stirred a little before his eyes opened. Black orbs stared at e/c orbs. Soon a smile spread across his lips. “Hey beautiful,”he said. 

    “Hey,”you answered. Your answer was short and distant. It caused Kakashi to wonder what was happening to you. Most of the times you will greet him with a kiss in the lips, or at least a smile. 

    “You better get ready,”you said as you got up. You searched for your jonin clothes in your close, but find none. The sound of clothes being ruffled passed trough your ears. “Here,”whispered Kakashi. That was the moment you realized he was standing beside you, your clothes in his hand, and his mouth close to your ear.

    Shivers went down your back. Thanking him, you grabbed your clothes, and changed into them in seconds. He stood in front of you, plane naked, watching the sun rise. With a blush across your cheeks, you went straight to the kitchen. It was quite unusual you were blushing when you had seen him naked quite a few times. 

    Not to mention, you had seen him without clothes last night. The last night you had him only for yourself. The last night you were to be sure he was going to be safe. The last night he kissed you with those soft lips of his, and told you he will do everything to come back alive. 

    After a quick cook you called him inside the kitchen. He was already changed into his clothes, and ready to go into action. There were few words shared during the meal. A usual check on things, and the usual greetings. 

    The breakfast was about to end when there was a knock at the door. “Kakashi, my eternal rival!”yelled the stranger, or well, Gai. How else would call Kakashi his enternal rival? “It’s time for us to go!”

    The sliver hair jonin stood up with no words exchanged. “I’ll see you soon, Y/N,”he reassured you. You faked a smile, and nodded. 

    “I know you will return,”you answered him. “After all you’re a strong shinobi.” 

    He nodded before turning around, and heading towards the door. Before you knew what was happening, you were already placing a hand over his shoulder. He stopped in his tracks as he waited for your explanations. You hugged him from behind while some tears ran down your eyes. 

    “Be careful,”you begged. “Don’t get yourself kill.”

    “So that was bothering you, huh?” 

    You nodded. He turned around and connected his lips with yours. The kiss took some time before you both parted for air. “I’ll promise you a thing,”he whispered in your ear. 

    “What is it?”

    His hand went to your stomach. 

    “I’ll come back alive. After all, I still need to look out for you, and the little bean inside of you.”

    With a smile formed across your lips, you nodded. Suddenly the door flew to a side. In front of you was a man in green suit, his signature smile. “Come on, Kakashi,”he said. “The spring time of our youth has yet to come to an end.” 

    “Gai,”he winced. “Could you be a little more careful? Y/N is going to stay alone for some days.” 

    “Oh, Y/N,”he said while his eyes landed on you. “I’m so sorry, my dear, Y/N.”

    He walked up to you with tears forming in his eyes. “Let me apologize, and then fix your door-”He was cut short by Kakashi grabbing him from the collar neck, and pulling him towards the door.

    “Y/N is a shonibi,she can deal with it. It’s time for us to go.” 

    Gai and Kakashi said bye to you before they left the apartment with a little argument in between them. Deep inside of you, you knew he was going to come back. After all he had Gai in his team, and both of them worked terrific when being together. “He is strong”, you thought. “He will come back, as he said, he still needs to greet our baby.”
