Might As Well Try (Obito x Reader X Kakashi) P5

You opened your eyes slowly, only to be greeted by the dark morning. A breeze of cold wind rushed through your body, causing you to shiver and sigh heavily. With a frown scattered across your face, you stood up and headed towards your closet and picked out a set of comfy yet elastic clothes. ‘Well, today’s the day’, you thought as you changed clothes.
Your clan household was unusually calm and silent which made you wondered what happened with your two younger siblings. Usually, both of them would be up and practicing your clan’s forbidden jutsu. Ever since your parents’ death, both of your siblings had devoted their bodies and souls to training, and somehow, one day, awaken the secret key which was necessary for your clan’s kekkai genkai to work at its fullest. In your past, when your parents were alive, they had taught you how to awaken it and how to find the main key, however, the journey had been terrible and frightening. You didn’t want your siblings to suffer that kind of pain in order to seek revenge from your parents’ killers.
As the sun started to rise, you made your out of your compound and headed towards the main entrance of Konoha. Once you got there, you met Minato sensei and Rin, both of them ready to leave in some type of cool mission. “He i snot here yet,” sighed Rin. “I wonder what is up with him.”
“Obito is always late,” you said. “Don’t worry about it.”
Rin’s cheeks became tinted a light pink as she shook her head. “I-I meant Kakashi,”she stuttered. “He is supposed to meet you here.”
You anime sweet dropped at her comment, so much for worrying about the Uchiha. But yeah, Kakashi was never late, at least not for such meetings, which made you wondered what was going on. “Calm down,” assured Minato sensei. “I’m sure they’ll both be here in due time.”
“I could  be sleeping,” you growled silently. “Damn boys.”
The three of you waited silently until finally, you heard a high pitch yell coming from the distance.
“That’s Obito,” you deadpanned.
“And Kakashi,” said Rin as a cloud of smoke became visible. The two were glaring at each other while racing to get to the gates.
“I’ll beat you, Kakashi,” yelled Obito with a grin scattered across his lips. Kakashi didn’t answer but just glared coldly at him. Even more, he gathered all his strength and ran faster, without realizing where he was going.
Your eye twitched as you fell to the floor with Kakashi, pain running up and down your spine. “Are you okey?” asked Kakashi, fear in his onyx orbs.
“I don’t feel my back,” you grinned. “But, other than that, I’m doing fine!”
“I’m sorry,”he said as he stood up.
Kakashi offered his hand, and you took it without any hesitation. Obito finally  reached the gates, panting and swearing at Hatake. However, he felt his insides burned with anger and jealousy as he noticed that you were holding hands with Kakashi. “Hey Y/N,” he greeted. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too, Uchiha,” you replied as you made his way to him. He opened his arms and wrapped you in a bear hug. Meanwhile, Minato noticed Kakashi was narrowing his eyes at you and Obito, causing him to sweat drop.
“Obito, can’t breathe,” you whispered.
He chuckled before releasing you and rubbing the back of his head.
“I guess I was too excited,”he sighed.
“It seems like that,” you answered. “Anyway, Minato-sensei, you should leave before it is too late.”
“You want me to leave this soon?” whined Obito. “I thought you missed me, Y/N.”
“Stop being such a cry baby,” you said. “The faster you are gone, the sooner you will be back.”
“But you will miss me, right?”
“You need to leave,” growled Kakashi as he took your hand. “Come on, Y/N-chan, let’s go.”
“Oi, oi, let her be,” argued Obito. His hand reached froward and grabbed your other hand. You sweet dropped and glared at both of them. From the corner of your eye, you noticed Rin’s frown and the sad expression in her eyes. ‘Of course, she’ll be sad, she likes Kakashi’, you thought angrily. ‘I’m such a fool. But we’re jsut childhood best friends.’
After Minato sensei interfered, the trio left while you and Kakashi stayed behind. You waved at a worried and jealous Obito before taking Kakashi’s hand and dragging him into town. At this point, Konoha was waking up, the stores were opening while shinobi got ready to leave to the training fields.
“Did you eat breakfast?”you questioned Kakashi. “I bet Obito pulled you out of bed.”
“It was the other way around,” replied Kakashi. “But, I could get some breakfast. What about you, Y/N?”
“Sounds awesome,” you smiled at him. “Want to go to my place?”
He nodded, and both of you walked towards your compound in silence. It was comfortable to be in peace, well, until you reached your house. Your siblings were yelling as they practiced their jutsus. As you  made your way to the house, Kyo, your youngest sibling, ran up to you and gave you a smile.
“Onee chan, can you practice with us?” he questioned.
“We have visits, “you said. “Another time.”
Kyo glared at Kakashi before he made his way to Tadao, your other brother. You knew they were planning something awful, you could feel it. “Let’s go,” you ordered Kakashi as you grabbed his hand and pulled him into the house. His cheeks flushed red, thankfully, you started to head to the kitchen. He followed you and watched as you gathered all the ingredients to cook.
“Take a seat, you’re my new mission,” you said.
“Your new mission?” he asked with an arched eyebrow.
“I have to babysit you, big baby,” you teased.
“I don’t like that term. I can do things on my own, you know.”
“Then why did you pull me way from Obito today?”you asked, oblivious to the real fact. He puffed his cheeks while starring at another place.
“I-I was just hungry,”he said. “And I like your cooking.”
“So I’m babysitting you...in a way.”
You gave him a smile which melted his heart. It made him feel warm and nice in the outside and the inside. ‘I want to be the only reason for her smiles,’ he thought. ‘Y/N is such a pretty girl.’
After you finished making breakfast and both of you ate, Kakashi volunteered to wash the dishes. “It’s the least I can do,”he said. You sat on the dinning table, dozing off, and finally falling asleep. The silvered hair boy kept washing the dishes until he heard the faint noise of a door opening. However, after he scanned the room, he continued to dry the dishes.
Frm the shadows, Kyo launched at Kakashi, only to hit him in the knees. At once, the silvered hair chunning fell to the floor, but he stood up before Tadao stroked him with some shuriken. Kyo smirked at himself as he set a pair of cunai free. Kakashi’s orbs widened as he used his arm as a shield, causing him to cry out in pain.
You woke up t once, analyzing your surroundings. That’s why you were quick to react to Tadao, who was planning to attack you from your back. Yet, as you escaped from him, you twirled in the air, and landed beside Kakashi. Once you saw him, your eyes became flames and your two brothers ran away from the room in fear. “Come back here, you two,” you yelled, but they were far gone.
You sighed before knelling beside Kakashi and examining his arm. “I’m so sorry,” you cried. “Let me take you the hospital.”
“There are just minor injuries,” he said. “No need to worry.”
“Stop being so stubborn,” you hissed as you took out the cunais. He winced in pain before he starred at you through weary eyes. You locked eyes as you blurt out that you never want him to be hurt. His black orbs widened while your cheeks became somewhat pink due to your closeness. Kakashi’s hand rested on your cheek s he leaned closer to you.
“Gomena!” yelled Kyo and Tadao as they burst in. “We just didn’t like Kakashi-kun having all your attention!”
Kakashi and you pulled away at once. Your eyes twitched as your brothers ran to Kakashi and apologized to him while hugging him and showering him with complements. Hatake just sighed and told them it was fine as long as they didn’t do it again. They both left and you helped him get up. “I guess we should go somewhere else,” you said.
“Y/N, I have to tell you something,” he whispered.
“I-I need to leave to get my stuff,” you said. “Meet me in the training fields, yes?”
“You’re supposed to babysit me, Y/N.”
“Ah, right, then, what about outside the house, yes? Of course, that’s awesome, I’ll see you there in some seconds-I meant minutes.”
You giggled before leaving to your door. As soon as you turned the corner, you sighed heavily at what had just happened. Meanwhile, Kakashi headed to the outside of the house, hoping he hand’t strained your friendship.
