Stay (Sasuke x Reader) Part 2

A sea green blurry color...
“So pretty,”you whispered. For some reason the image of that color brought a warm sensation to you, and it also made you felt funny. A smile escaped your lips as that color came closer to you. “It looks just like Sakura’s eyes.”
“Wake up!”ordered someone. “I need you to help me.”
Who could be calling?
“Who is it?”you asked. “Oh, let me guess, you’re Naruto! Yeah, definitely.”
A giggle escaped your lips before you felt a cold hand made contact with your cheek. Your head touched the hard stone bench which caused you to jump. At once, you had your eyes wide open as winces escaped your lips. The sea green color became clear to see, and that moment you saw the girl that yesterday had been laying on the floor.
“Sakura,”you hissed. “Why did you do that?!”
“Quit it, would you,”she answered. Her voice sounded tired and a bit above a whisper.
Why was she like this?
“What is the problem?”you asked her.
“Don’t you remember, baka?!”
“Now, now, calm down,”ordered another man. You looked behind Sakura only to see other two more ninjas , Izumo and Kotetsu . “Tell us why both of you were sleeping on that bench.”
They gave you suspicious looks. Your cheeks turned red as realization hit you. Those looks, they were not suspicious looks, they were thinking the wrong thing. “Oi, oi, we are nothing like that!”you yelled. “We’re just comrades. Ask Kakashi-senpai, if you don’t believe me-”
“Sasuke-kun left the village yesterday,”started Sakura.
Your eyes widened as the events of yesterday came to you. There had been some words shared, but soon he had knocked you out, and left you beside an unconscious Sakura. “He was leaving with Orochimaru,”you contributed.
“Why would he do that?”demanded Kotetsu.
“Orochimaru proposed to give him power,”continued Sakura. Her voice sounded funny as if she was trying to force the words out. That moment you saw her tears fell to her porcelain legs, and slowly get soaked by her clothes.
“I tried to stop him,”Sakura cried silently.
You laid a hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort her. “I’ll go tell the Hokage,”you announced. “This is not the end.”
Your feet made contact with the floor as determination shown in your eyes. “You need to get rest,”said Izumo. “Go home, we’ll tell the Hokage.”
“No, I can do it.”
With those words, you started to walked towards the Hokage’s building. “Let Sasuke be safe,”you begged to whoever was listening. Maybe it was your idea, but you could heard your heart silently break.

You quickly made your way to the Hokage’s office only to find her sleeping. “She made us get all these books while she was sleeping!”yelled Izuno. “This is not fair!”
Lady Tsunade woke up at that moment, the tint of the books plastered to her skin. “Oh, hey guys,”she greeted. The sight of their eyes flashing with anger and your weary body caused a frown to come upon her visage. “Did she did something?”
“I did nothing,”you answered. “But, we need to do something. Sasuke has left the village, we need to stop him!”
The blonde head looked at you a bit suspicious. Leave it to her to base her opinion on your childhood pranks. “It is true,”said Kotetsu. “Haruno Sakura also told us the same. This is not a lie.”
Your hands made contact with her desk. “You need to call for a rescue crew,”you said. “If you don’t, then Sasuke is going to leave with Orochimaru. There-”
“I know, Y/N. Go home and try to calm down.”
You shook your head firmly.
“I want to stay and be involved in this missions. Tsunade-sama, with all respects, I won’t accept no as an answer.”
She sighed heavily.
“You’re just like that knuckle head (Naruto). Go home, and eat something. I’ll call you when the rescue mission is ready to leave.”
Knowing that if you had eaten nothing would reduce your stamina, you left to your house. “I need to be strong to save him,”you thought.

Your e/c orbs starred into the distance as you ate a toast. With every minute passing, you became more nervous. The opportunities to rescue Sasuke were diminishing with every ticking of the clock. Wasn’t Tsunade-sama planning to do something?! Finally, there was a knock at your door.
You ran down the stairs to open the door. In front of you, Shikamaru was standing. He hold his usual boredom look as he spoke. “Y/N, you are to come with the rescue crew to rescue Sasuke,”he said. “Tsunade-sama ordered it.”
Quickly wrapping your arms around your torso, you nodded. “Those are old news,”you told him. You walked out of your house, looked it, and went with Shikamaru towards the village’s gates.
“I didn’t know you were ready,”he continued. “Were you going on another mission?”
“Not really,”you said.
He glanced at you as his arms went to he back of his head.
“Then?”
“Sasuke-kun....I need to rescue him.”
At once, he stopped walking. “I never thought you were one of those fangirls,”his mouth went slightly agape. “You always seemed to avoid Sasuke.”
“He is my comrade,”you laid. Or, well, you said part of the truth. “I need to rescue him for Sakura.”
The black haired boy nodded before starting to walk again.
“For her to be happy,”you whispered, only for you to hear. “And for him to be safe.”
At the end, you had told Sasuke the feelings you felt for him. Feelings that you had kept in secret for a long time. Sakura and Ino were your friends, you didn’t want to end the friendship. Not like it had happened between the pink head and the blonde one.

You silently whistle a melody as Shikamaru and you waited for the others to appear. Finally, when all the team was assembled he spoke. “I am glad you all made it on time ,”Shikamaru said. “Tsunade-sama has ordered us to go after Sasuke Uchiha for he has left the village yesterday night. I want you to know this missions includes risks, it could even cost your lives.”
The boys smirked, but deep inside them you could felt their fear. Suddenly, Naruto stepped out, his blue eyes shinning. “Let’s do it,”announced the blonde head. “Let’s rescue Sasuke, and bring him back!”
He smirked as he locked eyes with you. A smile escaped your lips as you nodded, and made your way outside with him. Shikamaru, not able to finish his speech, sighed and followed both of you. The boys, tucked their hands in their pants and went after you.
“Wait!”yelled a female.
“Sakura-chan,”Naruto and you whispered. Not thinking twice, Naruto turned around.
“Sakura-chan?”he asked. “What is the problem?”
You could her the cries that erupted form her lips. “Please bring Sa-Sasuke-kun back,”she cried. “I-I beg you! Bring him back! I’ll only ask you for this, just this one thing.”
Naruto nodded with a smile. “I’ll bring him back,”he said. “And that is a promise.”
“Thank you, Naruto,”she whispered.
“We need to go,”you told them. “If we plan to fulfill this promise, then we better hurry up.”
“Th-thank you, Y/N.”
“No need to thank, Sakura,”you turned around, and smiled at her. “We’ll bring him back. Just wait and see.”
Sakura starred at the six of you from the distance. Your silhouettes slowly disappearing with every step. She really wanted you to bring him back, to have Sasuke beside her. She wasn’t hurting nobody with that desire, right?
